An introduction to the thesis, the Gestures of Making video deals uses the hand gesture as a scaling device for different forms of production in the project. By showcasing various hand gestures, from the kneading of bread to the control of crane operation it is apparent that the human body is intrinsic to all operations.

This video acts as a transcript of the different forms of transaction that take place within the various projects at three scales; building, body and metropolitan. The video highlights the exchange of building tectonics across different projects. It also explores various exchanges between the different programmes across the metropolitan landscape of Olbia.
